About

Neil Ratley has put being a ‘hobo’ on hold. He has taken a break from exploring the world at large. Having experienced the aurora borealis in Alaska, tea in Turkey, roast guinea pig in Peru, getting turned away from a brewery tour in Rwanda  (biggest disappointment to date) and firing AK47s in a disused soviet bunker in Latvia it is now time to experience life on his own continent, Australia. He has cunningly disguised himself as a journalist in the expanses of the Australian outback. As a hack for a daily he is also publishing the odd travel yarn.

Neil has a passion for documenting his journeys, sharing a small part of his experiences and giving an insight into the amazing lives and cultures we are surrounded by. Along with an addiction to wanderlust (yes it is a type of drug) Neil’s ambition and hope is to bring a social conscience to his work and advocate social issues through his work.

Neil’s tent, camera equipment, crayons and backpack are currently pitched in Mount Isa, Australia.
